What Is Shadow Work Astrology?
Shadow work is the process of finding what runs underneath your decisions. Vedic astrology is the map of what the soul carried in at birth: the patterns, the assignments, the unresolved material. When you bring them together, you stop searching blind.The shadow is not what is wrong with you. It is pointing directly at the function you came here to develop. When that lands, something comes back online. The part of you that was never damaged, never lost. Only covered.

I read what the chart says about where you're standing in relation to it: the karma in motion, the current pattern, what's actually being asked of you right now. Not a forecast. About the Practitioner
I'm Varuna Das. I've been a practicing bhakta for twenty-nine years, formally initiated into the Gaudiya Vaishnava lineage twenty years ago, in 2006. I read charts in the Vedic tradition, with a working emphasis on shadow integration — using the chart to see what's operating beneath conscious awareness, not to predict surface events.Most of what people call astrology in the West is event-prediction theatre. The chart I read is older and more useful than that. It's a map of karma in motion, the patterns the soul brought into this birth, the assignments encoded in the difficulty, the dharma waiting underneath the wound. The reading puts that map in your hands.Outside this work, I'm a husband, a father, a painter, a futures trader, and a bhajan musician, I write what I call Western Bhajan, original folk rock songs, under the name Varuna Das. This work is informed by what I've actually had to live through, not what I've only studied.Lineage

What to Expect
Before
When you book, you'll fill out a short intake, birth details and what's bringing you to the reading. For audio readings, your question is required (this is what I record into). For live, it's encouraged. I prepare the chart in advance so we use the live time well, or so the audio is targeted.
During
For live: forty-five minutes on video. You'll see the chart on screen with me. No padding, no horoscope-tone, no upsells. Bring a notebook.For audio: there is no live "during", I record in one pass within five days of your intake and send the MP3 by email.
After
You'll receive the recording (audio or live) within 24 hours of delivery. The reading is yours to revisit. No subscription, no follow-up funnel, if you want to come back at a future turning point, you book another one.
